The 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday.
Even more than Christmas, Thanksgiving and (just barely) Easter.
Even more than Christmas, Thanksgiving and (just barely) Easter.
Although we can't continue on with the tradition of Stadium of Fire in Provo this year
like last year, and the year before.
I'm sure fireworks over the nations capitol won't disappoint!
Our weekend agenda consists of:
Friday evening walk to the Jefferson Memorial
Saturday morning at Eastern Market
eating lots of burgers and fries
Nationals double header on Saturday (fireworks after the night game!)
meeting up with our best friends from Provo who are in town for the weekend
pool time, lots of pool time:)
trying out a few new restaurants in the area
tennis at the nearby park (inspired by Wimbledon)
fireworks at the National Mall
celebrating and remembering how blessed we are to live in this country.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
& don't forget to take a moment to reflect on what a blessing it is to live in this country.
